Pie Crust Ingredients:
- 2 cups Teff flour
- ½ cup maple syrup
- ½ cup neutral-flavoured oil
- ½ tsp sea salt
Filling Ingredients:
- 5 large apples such as Rome, Mackintosh or Cortland varieties, sliced.
- 1 Pinch of sea salt.
- 1 Tbsp kuzu or arrowroot dissolved in 1/4 cup of cold water.
- 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Directions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.1.2.
- In a medium bowl, combine all the ingredients and mix thoroughly. Gather or roll into a ball.
- Use your fingers to press the dough into a pie pan, then prick a few times with a fork. Trim the edges or decorate. Save leftover dough for crumbles for the pie topping.
- Bake for around 20 minutes until firm and no longer moist.
- Now prepare the pie filling:
- Simmer apples in a 2-quart saucepan with a pinch of sea salt until tender, about 30 minutes.
- Add in dissolved kuzu or arrowroot and cinnamon and stir until thickened.
- Pour into the prepared pie crust. Crumble the remaining dough crumbs on top.
- Bake another 10 minutes or until the crumbles turn a light brown.
