Teff pizza base

This is a delicious alternative for pizza lovers who want to avoid gluten

Ingredients

1 cup Teff flour
½ cup tapioca flour or gluten-free flour
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
¾ cup warm water
2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 200°C.
  • Mix Teff flour, tapioca flour, baking powder and salt.
  • Add water and olive oil to form a soft dough.
  • Spread dough thinly on baking paper to form a pizza base.
  • Pre-bake for 10 minutes.
  • Add tomato sauce, cheese and toppings.
  • Bake another 10–12 minutes until crispy.

Tip: Add herbs like oregano or garlic powder to the dough for extra flavour
