Ingredients
- ¼ cup cooked brown or ivory teff grain
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1 cup dark leafy greens
- 1 tablespoon tahini
- 1 tablespoon dark pure maple syrup
- 3-4 ice cubes
- Pinch of salt
Directions
- Place all the ingredients in a blender with ½ cup of cold water. Blend until smooth, adding more water to thin the mixture.
Tips: Use hardier leafy greens like kale or collards for a darker green smoothie and more tender leaves like spinach to let the strawberry shine through.
If you like dairy products you can substitute some liquids for yoghurt. Add fruit juice for a smoother and sweeter smoothie.
